A public safety organization may not solicit contributions from persons in Texas unless the organization registers with the Office of the Secretary of State under the provisions of �1803.051(a) of the Texas Occupations Code.

A public safety solicitor may not begin solicitations for a public safety organization unless the public safety solicitor has registered with the Office of the Secretary of State under the provisions of � 1803.051(b) of the Texas Occupations Code.

A commercial telephone solicitor who solicits contributions for a charitable organization that is registered with the Attorney General�s Office for a charitable purpose relating to law enforcement must file a $50,000 surety bond with the Office of the Secretary of State under the provisions of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Art. 9023e, �5.
